naNODE is an independent alumni association for people who have studied at the University of Copenhagen. The association is independently organised and operated and is not affiliated with, administered by, or acting on behalf of the University of Copenhagen. naNODE is the data controller for the processing described below.

Personal data we collect
We collect your name, email address, information about your relationship with the University of Copenhagen and naNODE, for example programme, faculty or graduation year, membership and payment status, transaction references, and information about event registrations or participation. Payment card or bank details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by us.
Why we use your data
We use your data to register and administer membership and membership fees, communicate with members, organise and improve events and activities, and prepare statistics about our alumni community. Where possible, statistics are aggregated or anonymised. We process this information because it is necessary to administer the membership relationship and because we have a legitimate interest in operating and developing the association. Where consent is required, we rely on your consent.
Who we share data with
We may share relevant data with service providers that support our website, email, membership administration and IT systems. Payment information needed to process membership fees is handled through MobilePay, Vipps MobilePay and relevant payment providers. For individual events, limited data may also be shared with venues or event partners where necessary. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep data
We keep your membership information while you are a member and normally delete or anonymise it no later than one year after your membership ends. Payment, accounting or transaction records may be retained for longer where required by law or where necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Your rights
You may have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, request restriction of processing, object to certain processing, and receive your data in a portable format where applicable. To exercise your rights, contact us at update@nanode.com when the address becomes active. You may also lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet, at datatilsynet.dk.
